Candidate Biden promised “competence” and a “return to normalcy” in order to win the presidency. After one year, it’s clear he’s hopelessly incompetent and Americans born after 1945 are living in the most abnormal days of their lives. Forget his flop in Afghanistan and consider the Horde Economy President Biden has exacerbated. Folks can’t easily find goods and services and, when the can, they readily over-pay because the central state has pumped trillions into a supply-side recession.

A competent chief executive would know the circadian rhythm of 76,400,00 baby boomers (retirement and sunbelt homes) and 72,100,000 millennials (children and first homes) became the macroeconomic driver of demand in 2011, and that lifestyle decisions (e.g. buying a red-state home) were accelerated by COVID. In short, he did NOT need to stimulate consumption after Trump’s CARES Act in March 2020, but Biden has done just that, fueling shortages and higher prices.

Biden’s fingerprints are all over the pain and suffering of everyday Americans:

  • I just paid $4.99 in Florida for hi-test gasoline. His Go Green executive orders played no small role in this.
  • Social media is awash with pictures of empty grocery shelves. His 2021 reversal of Trump policies begat 808,000 legal immigrants, 375,000 illegal immigrants, and 122,000 alien children, who demand food when citizens struggle to affordably feed themselves.
  • Each month last fall, 4 million Americans quit their jobs, because he extended middle-class entitlements. 2021 was not the year to force $15-per-hour minimum wages upon American businesses.
  • The US standard of living dropped 2.4% in 2021, when prices inflated higher than wages, because he did not heed Clinton-Obama economic guru Larry Summer’s warning of too much spending. Biden did not listen, and 7% inflation in December was a 40-year high.

If Joe Biden cared about gainful wages, plentiful goods and stable prices, he would have campaigned for Donald Trump, who did more to increase what citizens earn (and decrease what citizens pay) than either Bush or Obama. But no, as Dick Wright’s cartoon (up top) perfectly depicts, Biden is a clueless arsonist feeding a runaway fire.
