This is on the feckless Biden administration; no idea who was getting in this country, didn’t vet people put on planes – all we got were men of fighting age, most likely here in the homeland to do us harm.

My prediction for the new year is increasing support from native-born Americans for the Trump administration’s asymmetric war on immigrant invaders; that is, the military strikes on Latino narco-terrorists outside the US, mass arrests and deportations of criminal illegal aliens inside the US, and rescinding “protected status” for Muslim immigrants. In fact, 2026 is going to be a tough year for third-world immigrants that entered on Joe Biden’s watch.
And, because it’s Trump’s position, Democrats will reflexively support non-citizens that you and I don’t want living in our neighborhoods. Take Springfield, Ohio, where 20,000 non-English-speaking refugees from Haiti feel like an “invasion” to a city of 58,000. Or New York City; with 40% of its residents foreign-born and speaking broken English, it’s obvious why an Ugandan-born antisemite is mayor. Or West Virginia, which is 98% native-born and hopping mad that an Afghan “refugee” executed a 20-year-old West Virginia National Guardswoman.
The outrage du jour is an Afghan national, Rahmanullah Lakanwal, who drove cross-country to gun down Spc. Sarah Beckstrom and Sgt. Andrew Wolfe on duty in Washington, DC last week. It’s tragic that our current government granted asylum to an anti-American Muslim – he screamed “Allahu Akbar” (“God is most great’) over their crumpled bodies – and the Biden administration allowed 70,000 Afghans to enter in 2021 under a resettlement program, which U.S. Attorney Jeanine Pirro now says did inadequate background checks (Duh!).
The Data Behind the “Invasion” Cries
There’s real data proving the negative consequences of not securing the US border and not keeping the wrong foreigners from entering our country; crimes committed, deaths from smuggled drugs, local economies ruined, political interference, strained government resources, and un-stoppable chain migration. It’s tragic, because most Americans are not xenophobic, and the US economy needs (legal) immigration. It’s truly a case of a few bad apples spoiling the whole bunch.
Criminal Illegal Aliens – In July 2024, ICE reported more than 617,000 non-citizens with criminal records living in U.S. communities while awaiting immigration proceedings. In 2023, ERO (Enforcement and Removal Operations) had arrested 73,822 of these noncitizens for 290,708 crimes (4 per person), including 33,209 assaults, 4,390 sexual assaults, 1,713 homicides, and 1,655 kidnappings.
Illegal Drugs – 98.9% of fentanyl, and 82.2% of cocaine, heroin and methamphetamine are smuggled across our southern borders. For Americans aged 18-45, the leading cause of death is a fentanyl overdose (72,766 in 2024). That’s 69% of all US drug overdose deaths. Behind these deaths are the trans-national drug cartels that employ over 175,000 in Mexico alone, including highly organized, well-armed, and tactically proficient paramilitary enforcement units – responsible for 23,500 deaths in 2023 (source: Mexican Peace Index).
Gainful Jobs Lost – In 2023, approximately 33 million non-citizens worked in our country; 19% of the total U.S. labor force. This includes 23 million legal and 9.7 million illegal immigrants. No way those numbers helped the 6.3 million native-born Americans without jobs. Further, Brookings estimates “illegals” suppress local wages by 4.7%.
Taxpayers Robbed – In 2023, illegal immigrants cost US taxpayers $150 billion (source: DOGE). At the same time, the cost of illegal immigration to state and local governments was $9.2 billion (source: CBO). And, Republicans claim the recent government shutdown was because Democrats want illegal aliens to continue having their hospital visits covered by Medicaid.
Sowing Division – In the 2023-2024 school year, there were 2,637 antisemitic crimes on US college campuses, the highest number ever documented by ADL. After October 7th (2023), 525 colleges were disrupted by pro-Hamas demonstrations, with encampments occurring on 140 campuses, most of them organized by the more than 400 chapters of Students for Justice in Palestine – and who funds that? “Iran stoked student-organized protests, with operatives posing as students and providing financial assistance” (source: The New York Times).
Democrats Might Be To Blame
Optional Practical Training (OPT) – Beginning with Harry Truman in 1947, foreigners on student visas could remain in the US for up to 18 months after getting their degrees for “employment for practical training.” Eventually, STEM graduates got an additional 24-month extension, thanks to lobbying from Big Tech. The practical effect is over 1.1 million foreign nationals enrolled in OPT in 2024.
What’s evolved is a system that distorts US higher education and invites visa fraud, while suppressing wages and job opportunities for US graduates. Did you know foreign nationals working under OPT are exempt from federal payroll taxes? It’s true, and the Center for Immigration Studies found the program created a “$4 billion tax exemption” in 2023. If OPT is not a serious threat to national prosperity, then what is it?
Chain Migration – Forty-five years ago, Jimmy Carter signed the Refugee Act of 1980 into law, empowering the president alone to decide how many refugees – and from which countries – the US admits. George H.W. Bush used that power to designate Somalis “of special humanitarian concern” Priority-2 refugees. Since 1990, over 180,000 “refugees” from Somalia entered the US. If you think no big deal, guess again.
Thanks to chain migration (family reunification) Somali-Americans now number an estimated 750,000, with the largest concentrations in Minneapolis (est. 150,000), Columbus (est. 100,000), and Seattle (est. 60,000). Without a single national vote or act of Congress, 310,000 people from a clan-divided, war-torn country now disrupt three American cities. It can get worse; in November 2023, there were 3.8 million (mostly third world) foreigners on the waiting list for family-sponsored visas.
Operation Allies Welcome – Joe Biden was the “worst president” in our lifetime, and the suffering continues for the families of Sarah Beckstrom (deceased) and Andrew Wolfe (fighting for his life) five years after Biden’s election. That’s because their assailant, Rahmanullah Lakanwal, came to the US as part of the Biden’s “Operation Allies Welcome” – one of 84,600 Afghan refugees recklessly welcomed into our country.
Conservative journalist Michael Shellenberger has evidence that Lakanwal was part of Zero Unit, a CIA-run kill squad, which Human Rights Watch and the UN have accused of committing war crimes (extrajudicial killings, torture, and civilian deaths). A US intelligence official told CNN, “You’re never supposed to bring your proxies home. They’re mercenaries with a drastically different culture.” Biden apparatchiks claim Lakanwal was properly vetted, but who believes them anymore?
I used to grimace when I heard Mr Trump use “invasion” to describe our country’s immigration problem. However, preparing to write about Lakanwal’s crime convinced me that an invasion has occurred – and it sure looks like our government let it happen. And, as the Trump administration tries to fix the mess, left-liberals stand in his way.
