Back when JFK was president, Democrats were a do-good party. I blame Clinton’s cash (from $700,000 in 1992 to $120,000,000 today) and Obama’s con (“if you like your health care plan, you keep your health care plan”) for their fall from benevolence. Today’s Democrats are lying and lining their pockets at an alarming rate; none more than President Biden, who’d rather walk into a flag pole than tell the truth.
Exhibit A: “I graduated with three degrees from undergraduate school, the outstanding student in political science, went to law school on a full academic scholarship, won the international moot-court competition, and I’d be delighted to compare my IQ to yours” (1987). Exhibit B: “I have never discussed, with my son or my brother or with anyone else, anything having to do with their businesses. Period” (2020). Exhibit C: “Name me a single objective we’ve ever set out to accomplish that we’ve failed on. Name me one, in all of our history. Not one” (2023).
As to Exhibit C, we failed as a nation in Vietnam (20 years, 58,220 US fatalities, and the communists won). He failed as a president to lead a “secure and orderly” withdrawal from Afghanistan (13 dead, $50 billion in armaments abandoned, and the Taliban won). As to B and C, Biden’s media cronies admit he lied with both claims. It’s not entirely his fault. It’s in his party’s DNA, passed down by a DNC corrupted by the Clintons and Obamas.
It’s party genetics, like getting 51 “former intelligence officers” to sign on to the big pre-election lie in 2020 (“every earmark of Russian disinformation”) or AG Garland telling the House Judiciary Committee, “I have no idea what ‘traditional’ means” when asked if he agreed “that traditional Catholics are violent extremists?” The right answer is, of course, no, I think traditional Catholics are law-abiding and patriotic citizens.
But, how do you solve a problem like Menendez, who was indicted for bribery in 2015, re-elected by New Jersey numbskulls in 2018, and indicted (again) for bribery last week? I am, of course, referring to Sen. Bob Menendez (D-NJ), who’s stepped down as chair of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, and been deemed a political liability by his state’s Democrat governor, Phil Murphy:
“I am calling for his immediate resignation. The allegations in the indictment against Senator Menendez are serious charges that implicate national security and the integrity of our criminal justice system – so serious that they compromise the ability of Senator Menendez to effectively represent the people of our state.”
In 2015, Menendez was indicted for intervening with government officials in exchange for luxury vacations and major political contributions. Now, he’s been indicted for influencing Egyptian arm sales, providing sensitive information to foreign sources, and his (new) wife’s arranging and attending meetings where foreign officials and businessmen curried favor with Menendez. One of those men knew Nadine Arslanian before she started dating Bob and promised to put her on the “payroll of his company in a no-show job.”
Fat, dumb, and crooked is no way to go through life, Senator. Look at the newlyweds (above): any way you put her with him? Not making a joke because of her take: “We were introduced by the owner of the IHOP, and I didn’t know that Bob was a senator. He was very intelligent, had a great sense of humor, and he was very, very hot” (look at the picture again). I think she saw him coming a mile away.
You want dumb? Fox News has video of an emotional Menendez saying the “question of whether Donald Trump could be compromised by [Russia] keeps me up at night.” And he’s taking money from foreign interests, and up for re-election when the DNC wants to run against that law-breaking Donald Trump? No doubt Governor Murphy wants to appoint Menendez’s Democrat replacement well before the 2024 election.
You want really dumb? Evidence shows Bob googled “how much is one kilo of gold worth” around the time Nadine accepted the bribes, and texted her, “no, you should not text or email” a co-conspirator who was missing payments. Her text: “I am soooooo upset. I thought after everything that at least he would honor his word one time. What should I do?” On second thought, they’re made for each other.
You want crooked (sorry, Hillary)? The evidence includes bribes of about $150,000 in gold bars and $500,000 in cash hidden in boxes, clothes, and a safe in their New Jersey home, for which the mortgage was paid down by another bribe, plus a Mercedes gifted to Nadine by a beneficiary of Bob’s influence. In reflection, it is 100% the fault of New Jersey’s electorate.
Suffice it to note Menendez got off in 2017 on a technicality, but New Jersey voters still chose him over Republican Bob Hugin, a businessman and former marine – and that’s the true threat to the Republic. Democrats are no longer the “do for your country” party of JFK. Look at the 2018 exit polls. Menendez won pro-entitlement voters. Hugin won veterans and anti-deficit voters. It’s clear the Menendez voters got it wrong – and who are they?
Voters that only care about what their country can do for them, and don’t care if Bill Clinton lied about having “sex with that woman” in the White House, or if Burisma paid Hunter Biden $11M so his daddy would get Viktor Shokin fired. Voters that don’t care if their senator sells out America, as long as he votes to fund teachers’ unions, forgive student loans, and keep the free stuff coming. That’s how the dishonesty DNA is passed from DNC to elected Democrat.
