Nancy alleges "cover up" as if...

Rave – Conservative civility on the day after the Blue Wave. Even though Democrats and liberal pundits crowed and gloated Tuesday night, there were no brown-shirted fascists taking it to the streets on Wednesday or far-right resistance incited by the House Freedom Caucus. Rather, there was but one conservative voice: a Republican president offering congratulations and bipartisanship (with the caveat Democrats do not abuse the subpoena powers).

Rant – Every intellectual food-fight between CNN and President Trump since Tuesday. With only 619,000 daytime viewers, CNN is not all that. Seriously, for what is April Ryan known other than her White House kerfuffles? And while I am at it, Trump could stand a semester at charm school himself. He must stop referring to black women’s intelligence…for goodness sake.

Rave – The restoration of a balance of power in Washington, which generally pleases Wall Street and the world. Weren’t Democrats the most un-becoming out-party ever? Perhaps liberals can finally condemn the resistance for the blaming-inflaming-complaining petulance it was. And now that Democrats get their turn with the gavel, they might criticize Antifa violence, because I’m guessing  a 2-martini lunch at Morton’s Steak House is preferable to turning over cop cars. Yes, House Democrats must now initiate legislation that reveals their Better Way vision and veto-proof policies to ensure a “better way” happens. Meanwhile, back in the Senate and White House, the grown-ups await to explain to voters why Little Nancy needs a nap. Heh-heh-heh.

Rant – The promised Democrat Blue Wave, which was more like purple Jello bouncing off the seawalls of Texas and Florida. History was on their side and, for two years, they invested time and treasure; so the results must be considered underwhelming. To be sure, Democrats won the House and some governorships, but they did not reclaim the Senate. They spent $2.6 billion and saw Oprah and Barack, but all they got was House oversight and a lousy RESIST tee shirt.

Rave – President Trump’s test-drive of his 2020 message: caravan, Kavanaugh, law-and-order, tax cuts and common sense. Once Trump signs a compromise healthcare bill, Democrats have nothing to sell in 2020. Meanwhile, 68% of voters think illegal immigration is a problem, 75% said Kavanaugh influenced their vote, most Americans support ICE and law enforcement, 69% are happy with the Trump-managed economy, and 76% say they will not vote for a socialist. Trump displayed incredible stamina long after Barack Obama had lost his voice. Love Trump or hate him, people believe a real leader must be able to enjoin his troops over the din of the Cameron Crazies, and Trump stayed strong through Monday night.

Rant – Every pathetic Democrat who insinuated his or her Republican opponent was a white supremacist…or suggested Trump’s rhetoric was responsible for the mass murder of Jews in a Pittsburgh synagogue. The stench of hypocrisy and mendacity was vast; so there is more politics of personal destruction where that came from. Lindsay Graham nailed it: You sure want power and, by God, I hope you never get it! And this must include Stacy “Wishing and Hoping” Abrams, the two dark blue counties in Florida (who cannot do what every other county in Florida did on time), as well as the other suspicious dark blue counties in Wisconsin and Arizona. This begs the question: is democracy dies in darkness actually a game plan for liberals? And to think I thought it was a warning – silly me!
